ScanSource Names Chief Revenue Officer

John Eldh brings proven leadership to drive sales growth and partner experience at ScanSource

GREENVILLE, S.C. — ScanSource, Inc., a leading provider of technology products and solutions, today announced John Eldh has joined the Company as Chief Revenue Officer and Senior Executive Vice President, effective October 1, 2019. Mr. Eldh brings extensive global experience building and leading field, channel and inside sales teams across multiple routes to market. He has led software sales organizations, including leading transformations to subscription-based business models. 

As Chief Revenue Officer, Mr. Eldh will oversee ScanSource’s go-to-market strategy and execution. He will be responsible for Global Sales and Marketing teams, as well as the Company’s Supplier, Solutions and Services teams across all geographies. Mr. Eldh joins the executive leadership team, reporting to Chairman and CEO, Mike Baur.

Prior to joining ScanSource, Mr. Eldh served as Senior Vice President of Global Partner Organizations at CA Technologies, where he oversaw the company’s global partner business, including channel marketing and the inside sales organization. He was responsible for the successful global transformation of CA’s partner business from a direct-oriented fulfillment model to a scalable, value-added revenue-generating sales model. Mr. Eldh also served as Senior Vice President of Sales for CA’s global security business. In addition, he spent nearly ten years at Symantec Corporation serving in several leadership capacities, including Vice President of North American Channel Sales; Vice President of Symantec’s Cloud Sales Organization for North America and Latin America; Region Vice President for the UK, Ireland and Nordics; Vice President of EMEA Inside Sales and Renewals; and Vice President of Americas Inside Sales. Prior to Symantec, Mr. Eldh spent 14 years at Gartner, Inc., where he served as Group Vice President and Region Vice President, overseeing enterprise field sales organizations, as well as building and managing Gartner's inside sales organization.

Mr. Eldh received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Rhode Island.
