What’s Next for Cisco’s Collaboration Distributor of the Year?
ScanSource was named Cisco Collaboration Distributor of the Year at Collaboration Summit. Here’s what that means for our team and our partners.
We’re still walking on air after our recent win at the Cisco Collaboration Summit in Phoenix, AZ where the ScanSource KBZ team was named the Cisco Global Distributor of the Year. This is an exciting victory for the entire organization– it feels great to be recognized for our dedication to both our partners and the outstanding Cisco portfolio. The award comes after an all-star year where ScanSource KBZ led all distributors in two-tier collaboration growth and was continually recognized for offering unparalleled service to Cisco partners. Senior Director Jeff Nicoll further explains what makes the Cisco/ScanSource KBZ relationship a success, “We have stayed committed to providing our partners with resources to help them navigate the collaboration landscape that is constantly evolving. One of our goals is to be an extension of Cisco, so that when a partner looks to us for support, it’s like we are Cisco.” With the growth of recurring revenue and new ways the end user is now consuming technology, our ability to help our partners transition, has helped drive new partners to ScanSource KBZ and helped our existing partners take advantage of new opportunities.
Our hard work paid off.
As you can imagine, all of us here at ScanSource KBZ are proud to know that the planning and execution of our collaboration strategy is working and being noticed in the industry. Ask around, everyone within our organization spends a lot of time ensuring our teams are prepared to support our partners and guide them on this journey. It feels great to see that effort pay off.
We’re not slowing down any time soon.
Although this honor won’t be overlooked or soon forgotten, the ScanSource KBZ team didn’t spend much time celebrating before gearing up for the big changes happening within the Cisco Collaboration portfolio. The recent announcements from Cisco around Webex forces us to return to the drawing [Webex] Board and continue our commitment to developing programs, increasing resources and enhancing the value-add that we bring to our partner community. Business Development Manager Chris Hyslop mentions, “Resellers have several options when it comes to sourcing their Cisco products and solutions, and that keeps me motivated. We must continue to be engaged with our partners and listen to their needs in order to provide what they feel will contribute to their success.” In the past year, we examined how our support structures were aligned with the go-to-market strategy of Cisco, as well as the needs of our partner community. In order to uncover opportunity and contribute to the profitability of our Cisco resellers, we dedicated even more time to process training and product knowledge to be the subject matter experts that our partners could leverage.
